Andre has an immense passion for barbecue. It was a fire passed on from his father during all his family barbecues whilst growing up in Brazil. The atmosphere, fun and laughter that was shared over a delicious meal just couldn’t be beaten. So, naturally when Andre went to university he couldn’t wait to share this experience with his mates over a barbecue on the weekends. It was a great way to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

When Andre arrived in Australia, his love of barbecuing continued. Andre became a professional chef, learning the trade from the ground up in various restaurants all across Sydney. More importantly Andre also discovered that the secret to a perfect barbecue is the sauces and marinades crafted for the meats. Slowly Andre began perfecting his own recipes influenced from flavours back home. Experimenting and refining his recipes Andre finally came up a range of sauces and marinades that he belived was a hit. Andre knew that to succeed he needed to invest everything he had. So with the support of his wife Lenka and his family Andre opened his first Braza Churrascaria restaurant at Leichhardt in 2007 and the rest was history.

Braza Churrascaria is an authentic Brazilian Barbeque house that serves world-renowned Australia meats. Braza Churrascaria is an “all you can eat” restaurant, with typical Brazilian service style known as “Rodizio” where Passadores (meat carvers) rotate from table to table serving more than 20 different types of skewers and over 14 different sides.
